• The San Francisco Bay Guardian has been a utility watchdog for decades, and it's PG&E, their hometown utility, whose legs they love to bite. Their up-to-date coverage is available online.

• The US Department of Energy has created a web page to help answer the inevitable questions about why this is only California's problem. (They wish!)
• California's "Independent System Operator" is the agency that sends the juice around the state. They maintain an on-line command center to keep viewers informed.
